"Other One"
Lyrics Written By:  Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann

Debut: May 25, 1996

Spanish lady come to me, she lays on me this rose
Rainbow spirals round and round, it trembles and explodes
It left a smoking crater of my mind I like to blow away
But the heat came round and busted me for smiling on a cloudy day

Chorus:
     Coming, coming, coming around
Coming around, coming around, in a circle
     Coming, coming, coming around
Coming around, coming around, in a circle

Escaping through the lily fields, I came across an empty space
It trembled and exploded, left a bus stop in its place
The bus came by and I got on, that's when it all began
There was Cowboy Neal at the wheel of the bus to never ever land

Chorus

Notes (from http://www3.clearlight.com/~acsa/introjs.htm?/~acsa/songfile/CRYPTICL.HTM)
There is longstanding confusion over the title of Cryptical Envelopment and The Other One. The original recording on Anthem Of The Sun listed a suite "That's It For The Other One" with sub-parts "Cryptical Envelopment", "Quadlibet For Tender Feet", "The Faster We Go, The Rounder We Get" and "We Leave The Castle". The sheet music (Grateful Dead Anthology) listed the first part (Garcia singing "you know he had to die") as "The Other One", with authors Kreutzmann and Weir. And it listed the next part with vocals (where Weir sings "Spanish lady ...") as "Cryptical Envelopment" with author Jerry Garcia. It is now generally agreed that the title "Cryptical Envelopment" goes with the lyrics "you know he has to die", and was written by Garcia. And the other song ("Spanish lady ...") has become known as "The Other One", and was written by Weir and Kreutzmann.
