part 2: the verses.

Al is playing standard chords to accompany his vocals, while chuck is the one is who carrying the weight on this tune.

play whatever chords you desire for AL's part, but, think your standard primary guitar chords(F-G-Bflat-F-G-Bflat-F)

chuck is playing the same chords, but inverts them playing the sequence in what i will call the third position

(this is something i learned teaching myself guitar in my beginning stages from a book called Guitar Tricks by Jay Friedman,

that opened a huge door and showed me you can play chords anywhere on the fretboard,instead of just the standard chords. they are called inversions.

for example:
foundation wise,
there are only three major types of chords in Rock music
(E, A, and D),
digging further, there are three types of chords
(major. minor and seventh)
all chords are based on this philosophy. say you do an F chord. it is an E chord with a barre across the first fret..

now to show you an example of inversions.
here is an E major chord and it's inverted relatives

play these, they are all the same chord. i love inversions, they broaden your palette and keep the redundancy and boredom from exposing itself when playing the same chords . and keeps co guitarists from playing the exact same chords, which is effing boring, and why I hate acdc and simple simon crayon music.

the third chord here is the chord pattern chuck uses playing his F chord,just one fret higher(F)
