here's note for both intermediate And beginning players:

you do not have to pick all the notes to get this flowing. you can
strum this whole and finger just notes like this:

anything you see arpeggiated can be played as a chord,
which is what it is in the first place.

this is why i love open G tuning.

Al is definately playing this in open G tuning.

you can strum and fingerpick at the same time with all those drone
open strings complimenting your chordal voicings,making it sound much
fuller and pretty much sounding like two guitars.
