4.1 Who's that guy with the guitar?
Most likely, if it's moe. related, it's Al Schneir. Al has been known, on occasion, to play solo
acoustic sets. These sets are very informal, often with Al telling stories in between songs.
4.3 Merry Danksters.
The Merry Dankster tour consisted of evenings of acoustic music and solo performances. It
featured:
Jim Loughlin (moe., Yolk), Jim Lomonaco (Yolk) & Chris Noel
Peter Prince (Moon Boot Lover)
Gibb Droll
Max Verna (Ominous Seapods), Tom Pirozzi (Ominous Seapods)
Al Schneir (moe.)
Chuck Garvey (moe.), Dave Rauch (Acoustic Forum) & David Gans
Also featured throughout the tour were members of Strangefolk, Illuminati and
freebeerandchicken.
Some of the Merry Danksters reunited for the Merry Dankster II tour in December 1997.
4.4 Sonic Garden.
Sonic Garden is a Buffalo based band of primarily Grateful Dead covers. Before Vinnie Amico came
to play drums for moe., he played with Sonic Garden. On August 22 & 23, 1997, Vinnie reunited
with Sonic Garden, bringing with him guitarist Al Schneir, for a two-day tribute to the Dead.
Vinnie can still be caught performing with the band every now and again.
4.5 The Transamericans.
January 1999 saw Al with a nomadic group known at the Transamericans first time. Playing with
him were:

Kirk (freebeer&chicken) - keys, harp, banjo, vocals
