since the lyrics to this on mL have a lot of ?'s then the first thing I am gonna do is write what I hear the lyrics as being. I know
why don't
I can feel
it comin round again so long
more than
I wanted it So my take on this is, I guess, pretty obvious. It seems to be a song about a relationship that goes between friendship and a little more than friendship. One side wants the relationship to stay platonic, while one side doesn't. From the last verse before the chorus and the more than I wanted part, I get that it has been tried as more than friendship once, that would help explain the linger in the grave part. In essence saying you're living in something that is dead. its made fairly clear that the side that did not want it to be more than friends loves the friendship, but is leaving it altogether because the other party is making it impossible to just be friends. the more than I wanted part tends to again refer to something that was tried but was something that the one party never really wanted to try. Kind of like a hopelessness from both sides, its hopeless to one because they can never be just friends, which is what that party wants, and hopeless from the other because they can never be more than friends, which is what that party wants.
